Top 25
Clemson- Watson has a chance to be an all time great. With Galman, Williams,Scott, Leggett coming back, the offense looks unstoppable. Toughest game: 10/29 @ Florida St
LSU- Real toss up between them and Bama. If Brandon Harris plays decent the offense has a chance to be legit with Fournette, Dupre and Dural. Defense has an all world secondary. Toughest game: 11/5 Alabama
Michigan- Another toss up between UM and Ohio St. Guess im a believer in Harbaugh. As long as O’Korn or Speight emerge at qb, the team can make real noise with the defense. Toughest game: 11/26 @ Ohio st
Notre Dame-I don’t think Notre Dame is this good but they have a super soft schedule and Brian Kelly has proven he is a big coach. They play only 2 true road games all year, the first week and the last week. Toughest game: 11/26 @ USC
Alabama- Saban will reload and have this team stacked. Tremendous defense and Calvin Riddley is the next big star. The off the field stuff does concern a little. Toughest game: 11/5 @ LSU
Florida St- Tremendously talented team with a bunch of future NFL stars. Dalvin Cook needs to solve his fumbling issues but is otherwise amazing. Toughest game : 10/29 Clemson
TCU- Gary Patterson had this team 11-2 last year despite being decimated with injuries. Kenny Hill, the one time heir to Johnny Manziel, has a chance to prosper here. Toughest game: 10/1 Oklahoma
Ohio St.- Meyer will have this team in the thick on things again. They did, however, lose NFL talent at literally every single position. JT Barrett looked shaky at times last year too. Toughest game: 11/26 Michigan
Oklahoma- Mayfield and Perrine are legit stars and Heisman candidates. OU did receive a lot of breaks last year and you have to worry about a schedule that sees them visit TCU, Houston, Texas Tech and West Virginia. Toughest game: 10/1 @ TCU
Houston- Greg Ward Jr is back to lead a run and gun offense. Tom Hermann will be linked to every big time job after this season
Michigan St- Don’t sleep on Michigan St. If they can solve their qb position they will once again challenge for a Big 10 title. LJ Scott is a star in the making
UCLA- The evolution of Josh Rosen continues. They have a solid offensive line and bought in a OC to specifically fit Rosens strengths. Vanderdoos coming back from injury helps too
Tennessee- Let the hype continue. They need to find out how to win games but the schedule is so soft that they should contend.
Georgia- If Jacob Eason is the real deal than Kirby Smart will get off to a fast start in UGA. The running backs are all world and the defense should be solid.
Washington- Young team that might be a year away from really big things. Opening game vs Rutgers should be a cake walk.
Ole Miss- IS Chad Kelly the real deal or did the talent around him make him look better? Should also be worried that the Tunsil issue hovers over the team all year
USC- Top 5 talent but with a subpar coach and a schedule that is BRUTAL. Schuster-Smith will always be fun to watch
Iowa- Surprised people last year thanks to an easy schedule. Schedule is still easy this year but the rest of the league should be ready for their style of play
Louisville- Petrino has found his star in QB Lamar Jackson. Might be a year away from being a real contender in the ACC.
Boise St- Brett Rypien is star qb in the making. Boise looks locked and reloaded and will have to fight off a good San Diego St team
Oklahoma St- Experienced team that will score plenty of points but have a really tough schedule. They could surprise and make a run at a new years bowl
Stanford- McCaffery is one of the best player in the nation but they lost an awful lot on both lines. If McCaffery goes down the offense is baren.
Oregon- Have to hope Dakota Prukop can come in and offer the same that Vernon Adams did. Royce Freeman could be a Heisman darkhorse
UNC- Elijah Hood is one of the most underrated backs in the country. Will they be able to replace Williams at qb and still exceed expectations ?
Wash St- Fun team to watch but with Mike Leach they can win every big game or lose to one of their inferior opponents
HEISMAN FAVORITES
Deshaun Watson, Dalvin Cook, Leonard Fournette, Christian McCaffery, Baker Mayfield
HEISMAN DARK HORSES
Greg Ward, Josh Rosen, Luke Falk, Deshone Kizer, Kenny Hill, Patrick Maholmes
