There is a great backstory about the ET video game. They had to create the game from scratch and have it on the shelves in about 1 month (most games took a year to make), in order to have it ready for sale for the Christmas season. Anyway, about two-thirds of the games went unsold, and so many of the remaining one-third that were sold eventually were returned because the game was so terrible, that atari had nowhere to put all those cartridges...so they were all buried in a New Mexico landfill.Comment
