    Fall TV Discussion Thread - New Shows & Returning Ones...

    Is anyone looking forward to a new show coming up? Or are you just glad the regular shows you like will be back soon? Discuss Here.

    I seem to think that new show with Michael Emerson from Lost and Jim Caviezel might be good, here's a preview...

    I'm looking forward to the Michael Emerson show, it looks interesting and I love him!

    The only other new show I'm excited about is X Factor, other than that I'm mostly happy my old shows are back: Survivor, The Amazing Race, Sons of Anarchy, Big Bang Theory. I am sorry that Lawrence Fischburne left CSI, I liked him; it'll be strange with Ted Danson on there now. I have always liked CSI. Plus, Project Runway is on now, which I love, and Top Chef Desserts. I am looking forward to the new regular Top Chef, though I'll miss Angelo Plus new Toddlers and Tiaras and Hoarders are on

      Me too, although the last season was very dark and there were a lot of Langston centric episodes. I've loved the show since it was first on the air and I too think Ted Danson might be a little strange in that spot. Although, he has done some serious stuff and may be real good - I may end up liking his character more than Langston. SPOILER

      Do you think that X Factor will be as popular as American Idol and will it overtake them in ratings? Or do they not go head to head with each other?

        after looking at the fall tv preview over at the avclub, i can't say that i'm looking forward to any of the new shows.

          About X Factor--- I have no idear how it will do, but I'm sure people will watch just to see Simon. It's on FOX too, but in the fall, and AI starts in January, so they won't be competing. That dopey show on NBC, The Voice, competed against AI and lost, badly. I watched that a few times and it was horrible. But I heard it's coming back on, but it's no real competition for AI, which has been the number 1 show since season 2.

            Ever since they pulled the plug on Mike's Sundee show, I've lost interest in television.
