Since Bread and Ottis got me to watch all of Friday Night Lights, I figured we could talk about the show here, maybe discuss the plans to make another FNL from the series, etc.

Ottis, did you see the movie as well? If so, was it good? I won an Ebay auction for it, hopefully it will be good. I don't know how it could be better than the tv series though."I have incredible affection and love for my audience, because my audience put me here and has kept me here for 25 years," Francesa told Radio Ink.

I haven't seen the movie, but apparently it's not very much like the TV series. Connie Britton is in it and she plays the coach's wife, but her role is very much sitting in the stands, smiling and cheering.
Given the way the series ended, I'm not sure what they do for a movie. I assume the Taylors return to Texas for some reason.
I was surprised not to see Minka Kelly in the final season. Anyone else? They barely even referred to her character.
At least we saw someone running on a football field on TV who was supposed to be Smash Williams.

I thought that in the Season Finale they might do a thing looking forward a year or two andSpoilerhave Smash Williams signing with Jason Street as his agent to wrap it up. Show a wedding with Matt & Julie, etc
SpoilerIt was weird how from the 4th into the 5th Seasons that douchebag QB and his dad disappeared. JD McCoy was supposed to be the next big QB and when East Dillon plays West Dillon they had a different coach and QB altogether. I hated those two. Also, Buddy Garrity Jr went from a shrimp to a total douche and got huge over a year's time."I have incredible affection and love for my audience, because my audience put me here and has kept me here for 25 years," Francesa told Radio Ink.

It's possible that they wanted her to film she was shooting Parenthood, another NBC show she's a fairly regular character on.

Spoilercoach taylor got fired at the end of season 3 after losing in State. I would assume losing to a team in your town and not even making it to playoffs would get a coach fired as well. It would have been good to know what happened with JD tho.The Lost Society was filmed before a dead studio audience...

It wouldn't have fit well with how Riggs and Tyra ended up either.Free Boosie

I would think the movie would focus mostly on Julie/Matt, Tammi/Eric, and Riggs/Trya and tie them together somehow.Free Boosie
