7/25 DITC Karaoke Podcast Sign-Up Thread!

[Dave in the City Out West]

Hi everyone,

On Monday July 25th, we're set to start our first Karaoke Podcast on "Dave in the City."

So! Who would like to sing on the show? You can pick a song of your choice, (probably the regular song, I'm not quite that anal about finding a vocal-less recording) and showcase your singing talent!

So COME ON DOWN! If you're in, RSVP here and post on this thread. At the end, all of us together can sing "How Do You Do" by Mouth and MacNeal.

Note: Entries must be delivered by 11:59pm on Saturday, 7/23. (Pacific Daylight Time).

In addition, we have...

Stawting Pitchah signing "That's Life" by Frank Sinatra (if he's available)
Dave rapping "Hey Ladies" by The Beastie Boys (Junkie's request)

and that's it! Deadline's 2:59 pm East, so heres youre chance! I'll grandfather in EIAS (I cannot resist an EIAS karaoke on the podcast) if need be.

Not the worst idea... anybody have the Dupp Theme on MP3? Just the theme on its own obviously (without Joe singing over it). PM it to me brotha!

Got EIAS' pm, we are set to go! EIAS has selected: Out of Touch by Hall and Oates.

The podcast will be scheduled for Monday Night at 11pm ET (hope thats not too late, but I only planned the show to be an hour long).

Here's the rundown (All Times ET):

• 11pm: NFL CBA thoughts, assuming the CBA is signed by then. Actually, singers, you guys can call in right at the top and we can talk about this for about 10-20 minutes.
• 11:15 or 11:20: Karaoke Time! (possibly later if we have juice with the NFL)
• I'll go, Andy with "Out of Touch" at 11:20 to lead off.
• At About 11:30 TomK and I will do a duet with "Islands in the Stream".
• At 11:40 Stawting will sing "That's Life"
• If there's time, or someone drops out, I'll rap "Hey Ladies" by Beastie Boys.
• And finally, all of us will belt out "How Do You Do" together!

TO enhance the experience, I'd recommend a drink or seven before we start --or not.

I don't think it will take ten minutes for each of our songs, plus I dont know if we'll start at 11:20 or earlier. But the order is about what I think it should be. Let me know if you have any schedule suggestions.
