I think it was interesting they built this in east london. If you did it in NYC, thats what the west side stadium was all about I guess.

Basically the closest test New York City has to getting a future Olympic selection would be seeing how the City handles the Superbowl in 2 years. But even that would pale in comparison to an event of that magnitude over a 2 week timeframe. Plus the construction of the main facilities like others have mentioned.
