My friend's dad went to the Delicate Sound concert at the Coliseum. It's the one that was filmed and released on VHS. At one point, he jumps up and touches the pig as it flies low over the audience and you can see him on the video.

It really is true that all you need is the singer to keep going forever. Just hire a buncha instrumental guys and they can do a good enough job. Like, once Bob Weir goes that's it for the Dead. It's amazing that it's coming up on twenty years without Jerry. Bob sings the Jerry songs and it's good enough....because it's Bob.
