alive and well last night. After fawning over the "royalty" coming in and breathlessly reading out his stats over the last 5 or 6 starts at the stadium you knew Hernandez was going to get hit hard last night.

Does anyone subscribe the idear that game 7s are special and everyone should watch them even if you are not a fan. I feel like this is such a mongo talk show host notion. I don't care about the Rangers, or hockey, and won't watch a second of this game. Even if I did, there is no way I could became as emotionally involved as a real fan of the team or game would be. I'd be over it 2 minutes after it ends. The only time I watch playoff games of teams I don't root for are in sports I like ... baseball and football. Hell, even last year I missed most of the World Series and didn't,t really care

Since it is a local team I'll probably tune in if I'm not doing anything but overall I agree with you. Football is the only sport I will make the time to watch playoff games that don't involve either my team or a local team.

This is a very, very valid point. This is why I can listen to any topic as long as we get some calling in. This is why my favorite topics aren't directly sports related. To this day, one of my favorite shows was when Mike was taking calls on that high school (or college) football player who died of dehydration. You had calling in discussing everything from the history of Gatorade to how they once passed out because they didn't drink.
