I wondah how many there are alive?

I agree on the surface and underwhelming number.

I would imagine it was a shitty place to play before they won, not a lot of love affairs with playahs their for all the self annointed platitudes from the fans and press there. You start with Williams and work right on down as far as strained relationships and trashing after exiting.

I remember hearing or reading that if you actually got to meet Ted Williams while he was in a non-baseball role (for example he loved to fish) he was actually a pretty nice guy. Just something about baseball fans that pissed the guy off I guess.

I think guys like Boggs, Greenwell and burks blowing it off says something.

There are aholes in also any passiOnate fan base, and we have some good sox fans on the board, so rivalry aside, I dont want to paint with TOO broad a brush. But, the reckitt speaks faw itself. The 86 team won the pennant and and you get rich Gedman as the representative?

It's a strange mix because I remembah Boggs and damon gettImg standing ovations in their return. But the flipside is I've never seen ANY. Fan base come close to the "nation" in throwing the departed under the bus

For years, the local papers functioned as a mouthpiece for ownership. The Sox don't re-sign a player and there's a hatchet piece in the paper the next day. I thought all that was in the past until Hohler's story after Francona wasn't brought back.

I kind of wish Francona hadn't come back yesterday. Told Larry Lucchino to eff off.

Imagine this coming up to you on a daily basis ...

Hey Ted, I see here in my stat book that you are 3 for16 in the 5th inning when the temperature is below 65.

And for the reckit and completeness, I know rice and hurst were also there from 86. There may have been a few othahs, but Hugh get the ideer, the big names blew it off. Even if Clemens didn't have the case over his head I doubt he would have attended

Evans, Gedman, Barrett were there. Along with some less notable players like Al Nipper.

Clemens, Boggs, Greenwell didn't show up. What can ya do? criticizing the event shows how lawst he really is.
