That's probably the smart thing to do actually... Bank goes under and you are only guaranteed the FDIC limit. Not a big enough or smiley at that point.

It just seems logical. I do think these crazy things if I ever got super-rich. It has to be distributed, and you need someone you really trust to deal with all the paperwork to manage it all. And pay them well.
