Maybe Sparano will convince the Jets to get Chad Henne to push Sanchez at QB

My worst is fear is they continue to neglect the Safety and OLB positions. I dont think the offense is that hard to fix...get a decent RT and start running the ball again. Id lvoe to see them get a guy like Brian Leonard to add to the rb and be the 3rd down back to pick up blitzes and catch the ball

Got to get rid of Matt Cavanaugh too, his coddling of Sanchez is disgusting.

Rex is afraid to criticize his own players. I'm not saying blast your players to the press but its okay to say your players had a bad game.. ala Eric Smith had a bad game today.

I have some advice for you: You take care of your life, your family and yourself, and Ray Catina will take care of your car.

Do you have the audio of Mike listing the Ray Catina family of cars? I can listen to that a couple of times a day. Mike reading off a list is fascinating to me for some reason.

I like him bro. 6th rounder in 2009, and hes been starting for 2 years.

He isnt amazing, and isnt flat out bad.

Yeah his run blocking is a bit weak.

Fanecer couldnt pass block at his age for his life, but could truck some DT's still.

Need to find a QB coach. Get Brunell da heck out of the building, and don't hire him on the staff either. I hope Tom Moore sticks around somehow..The Jets were sick in the redzone.

Sanchez was not good at all last year, but still managed to throw 26 TDs, and rush for 6. Thats great production for having a bad year with the 'eye test'

How was the game? I thought the 3rd and OT was tremendous. Mike Smith looked like Patrick Roy for awhile there

One thing I cant stand about Phoenix (and I blame it on Uniwatch) is the lack of a drop shadow on the jersey lettering and numbers. They look like those rip off jerseys youd find in Walmart

The biggest obvious issue is covering opposing TE's. I know from a personel they were deficient. On the other hand, and I'm no expert but, it's easy to see that the scheme leaves the middle wide open. *the exception being last year NE playoff game.

I was at MSG last night. Shootout wins have a weird feel to them...like they're not wins. Winning in 60 or OT is good, but shootouts....something not right. Rangers have 4 ot/so losses...1 in the normal OT versus the Kings in Europe, and 3 in the shootout. Out of their 27 wins, I believe on 2 are in the shootout.

Why can't they just tie?

I like the simplicity of their uniform, but you are right, they are something you would see in my roller hockey league with the single color numbers and lettering.

Game was good. Smith played a great game. The save on the penalty shot was insane. I had a great view of it, I was down on that side of the rink...for a second I thought it was over. Gaborik has to lift the puck there, but still, amazing save.

Rangers played pretty good, especially the Boyle line. Rupp made a terrible turnover at the blue line for the PHX goal. As soon as it happened I said to my buddy sitting next to me, "Watch, it's going to lead to some bullshit." It did. That line didn't see the ice the rest of the game.

Rangers are terrible in the shootout. Four of their first 5 guys didn't even get a shot on net.

Penguins are done.

It's a good idea when you are winning, but if you have a bad year...the entire thing back fires. I think Rex in his 3rd year is still feeling out the head coaching thing.

But yeah stop praising Hunter, Smith, Sanchez, etc.

I love the Tony Sparano move in regards to the OLine, but he is just as conservative as Schotty. He seems like a tweak/minor upgrade. He isnt a bitch like Schotty atleast.....

He did have a stellar year calling the plays for the Cowboys in 06 though.
4th in scoring, 26points
20th in passing attempts, 31 throws
5th in passing yards/game, 239, 3,836 total
12th rushing, 29 attempts
13th in rushing, 121 a game, 1,936 total

That's only 1 year calling plays for Romo/Bledsoe though. Cant go gaga over 1 year, but that looks good to me.

Smith and Leonhard are both poor in pass coverage and Bart Scott cant even stay on the field on 3rd down. An upgrade at S and a little bit more speed in the middle will help that issue I think. Obviously it all comes down to the pass rush too, you get no pressure on the qb and they have all day to find thsoe te's working over the middle
