Apparently one of the Versus announcers said after Crosby's first goal the other night how the Islanders goalie will be telling his grandchildren how he gave up Crosby's first goal after coming back.

Is there any surprise the Penguins are hated by everyone?

Same to you pally....I swear I had to shut down the audio and look away from the board yesterday because I was chortling so much in the office.

It was one on those "church giggles" scenario that I just couldn't stop and then when finally I did control it somewhat I'd read another nugget and off I went again. The TMF has some VERY funny mofo's on it...

{an attempted explanation}

Way back when, CBS would show Wizzid of Oz on Thanksgivin'....and Dave probably KNEW that but didn't actually experience it, and was trying to portray families (circa the mid-to-late 70's) as having done that.

That's my guess, anyway.

Kind of close. For a long while TBS would show The Wizard of Oz every Thanksgiving night for many years. I don't think he meant people watched it during dinner, but some people watched it on Thanksgiving night because it aired the same time each year.
