Re: Paterno, do we know with 100% certainty that Paterno knew what was being accused was true? Did he see anything himself?

Not saying he shouldn't have done more anyway, but if he was only going by 2nd hand accounts and thought the administration did an investigation, etc. maybe he thought it was taken care of an not true

about paterno.. there was a pattern. the 98 incident, the 2002 incident, and the fact that sandusky was constantly around little kids... bringing them to games and the team hotels and what not. there were yuge red flags everywhere.. he can't plead ignorance here.

Don't know about 100% but circumstantial evidence strongly points to him knowing Sandusky had some problems. This press conference is going to be very interesting to listen to, especially if its true they are demanding the Sandusky issue be off limits...press is going to smell blood in the water.

None of us knows what we would do in that situation.

Guy probably was nervous as hell, and as a lowly grad assistant probably was thinking a lot about his job, career, etc., if he made a lot of noise about it. And he probably realized it was something that was wayyyyyyyyy above his pay grade to deal with (putting aside the comments from all the internet tough-guys about how they would have kicked Sandusky's ass right there and then).

In retrospect does he probably have a lot of regret over that, yeah. But I can understand a bit with what was probably going through his mind.

What they were saying this morning was that the guy in question was 28 at the time and is 6'4" 250lbs...but you're right I have no idea how I would react.

A lot of penn state alum at work yesterday were telling me they wouldn't renew their season tickets next year if Paterno and anyone affiltated with this were still employed....if they get enough pressure from within the penn state community, alum, trustees, etc...its gonna be turned around..don't see how the entire program doesn't get overhauled.
