Those Battle of the Network Stars shows were huge. I always rooted for my fav stars. I watched Sha na na from time to time. There were a bunch of those Variety type shows (Sonny & Cher, Osmonds, even the dopey Starland Vocal Band had a variety show).

Andy, regarding TV- the only current show I watch now is House.

Other than that, I am a sports, Law & Order & ID channel glendale. I really don't need anything more than that.

Me either.

I like zombies though because they will one day be a real threat.

Really wasn't that different from the 70's. For every AITF there were plenty of forgettable sitcoms to go with it.

Copycat shows were the name of the game in every era... like for instance Friends comes out and there'd be shows like "Neighbors" or "Living Single" and that jazz.

ps: I thought Living Single was all right, actually.

I remember watching with my mother a variety show with the Mandrell Sisters. We also watched a game show on ch. 9 called "Bullseye."

Those soundbites always remind me of the episode of Seinfeld where Kramer pretends to be MoveFone.

Susan Surrandon and Kevin Bacon.....
"You have to get me over that mountain!"
"AAAAAAA!"
Explosion sound effect....
There is no mountain like, Mountain High.

I didn't even get that far.

Now you are talking about a Kim Jones of a different color.

My interest level has arisen.
