Thats not a bad strategy, but I like nominate the guy I really want even it means spending a few dollars extra, and then lay in the weeds for awhile and find some bargains latter. This strategy works usually works well for me.

Last season I had a hard-on for J. Charles and got him right away. I then waited about a round and half before I spent some more money. Ending up getting Roddy White at a decent price. Then ended up with bargains like M. Wallace at the end of the draft.
I was able to win the league.

Not saying it will work for you, but it works for me.

I have yet to meet someone who sat thru an actual auction draft and still preferred the snake method. The only exception is if you had an online draft that had connection problems or you had people auto-bid, which just sucks.

I like this strategy too but it depends on what the market value for players are. Sometimes bargains don't happen until it's too late or until you can't afford them anyway if you overspent.
