In this same example, let's say Capitan was in the 2nd nomination slot. Right after Rodgers was just up for bid, he can put up some clueless Kicker if he wants.

Nominations are completely up to the manager who is up for nomination (). It doesn't necessarily mean you want that player, it's just your turn to put someone up for bid and put an opening bid on that player.

We do an auction similar but only for 5 rounds then it goes to a snake for the final roster spots. Snake order is picked before the auction goes off so people know where they will be after the auction is over. once you are out of money you lose your nominations. Also you can trade money and nominations for snake round picks. alot of strategy and you have to know what your doing. Also this league starts 3 rbs. Defenses are big in this league as well. This is the league I am doing for 25 years.

Of course for me this is not gonna be an issue seeing I will spend $200 on Aaron Rodgers.

Even an online auction should be fun...but nothing beats a live-in-person auction. I mean NOTHING compares to it in the fantasy world.

Of course who you nominate and why you nominate them is completely up to you...but careful now eddie, you don't wanna be nominating someone that no one will bid on and get screwed with that player.

The "MAX BID" you can spend on any one player is $186 (not $200). You have to leave enough money to fill the rest of your roster with $1 bids. So I think we have 15 roster spots. If you were to go HAM on Rodgers and spend $186 if you'd have $14 left to spend on your remaining 14 roster spots.

ACC is TERRIBLE....Its gonna be an overrated FSU or a bland Virginar Tech. Could also be so bad a BC or Maryland get to get creamed in a BCS Bowl

My league converted to an auction 6 years ago (draft is always on Labah Day)...and we're sad that we wasted the first 8 years of our league doing dumb snake drafts. (especially since all drafts were live, in-person and never online).

Our auctions are straight through until rosters are filled but by the end it's kind of like a snake draft since no one can really outbid anyone else.

Awesome. Do you guys do a rotating trophy or is it just a cash payout?

Our league is expanding from 10 to 12 teams this year. We started with 7 original members back in 98. Barry Sanders was on my first fantasy team. It was his last season,

We're getting a perpetual trophy starting this year and will imprint all the champions we've had so far and keep imprinting new plates with each additional champ (stanley cup scenario).

what a small world...next time i go to NYC we'll get a beer at pussycat doll lounge..actually no we won't..i've been in that place when the sun was still out and it made minko look first class
