yup ... but they got paid about triple of what the guys who stayed on the ground got payed, so for immigrants who had no other way of making decent income, it was worth the risk to them

Da History Channel had a great show on a few years back called "A Day in the Life" and one episode was of the men who built the Empire State Building. Crazy sh*t....they used to heat up the rivets and fling them a couple stories in the air to a guy whod catch it, place and have another guy hammer it in. All the while they had little to no support or harnesses
