Rangers have a chance to be tres good this year if everything breaks right. I guess Gaboriks health is key again, which scares ya, but they are built from the net out and are a hungry team.

You can't have a better chance to end a game than Mikko Leinonen did. Ya can't. He was standing still with the puck on his stick and Smith had went for a stroll somewhere....and the puck just popped over his stick when he tried to wrist it. It was shocking that he missed that one.

The game winner that night was the greatest radio call I ever heard. I don't remember who was doing play by play but I heard the crowd screaming and the announcer just started repeating "KEN MORROW! KEN MORROW! KEN MORROW!", so I knew that was a good thing. I believe that was the inspiration for Howie Rose's "Matteau" call 10 years later (with the scripted "one more hill to climb, it's Mt. Vancouver"). I took me years to figure out what he was saying about Mt. Vancouver though.

And Bob Brooke had a steallah chance as well. Rangers deserved that game but the Islanders were the Islanders. Good teams find a way.

I'll go one further, F Larry Patey. I'll never forgive him for that lazy turnover in the corner seconds before that goal. Not only does he fail to clear the puck, but then he trips over somebody and takes himself out of the play.

I'm looking out the window here in Jersey City across da rivah at the New WTC.. How da heck to they get those yoooooooge cranes on the top of that thing.. and bettah yet.. how da heck do they get them down

F Ken Morrow.

Ken Morrow has a great stat oddity, 17 career regular season goals but he got another 11 in the playoffs. Guy knew when to take a shot.

pretty sure they are designed to kinda go up with the structure as it is built ... then they can be disassembled and removed when done
