We went to PR a number of years ago and really enjoyed it. We really liked Old Town/Old San Juan so if you can get there and have some dinners there that would be great.

Only thing I'd say is take a cab. We took the public bus from our resort there. It worked out fine but you have to go through some really run-down/poor neighborhoods which kinda gives a buzz-kill to your vacation mood

We are staying at a resort in Donado (?) and plan to spend time in Old San Juan and to go to the rain forest.
