No, seriously, I think we as a board do a fairly decent job of handling topics like these. We all respect each other (at least I do you guys) and since we all bring different backgrounds to the discussion, we have differing viewpoints. There's such a huge potential to learn from each other that I can't resist feeding into it sometimes.

I think you stated it quite elegantly and I respect your questioning. There are an awful lot of questions. Even believers have questions, we're not all just brainwashed people out there just blindly following (although there are probably many out there that do) every word that our Bible or leaders say.

Same thing happened to me in fantasy baseball. I had a great team all year long and I lead in the final playoff game till the last Sunday. Then my pitching totally collapsed and my opponent went . I can't complain too much though since I've gotten a lot of lucky playoff wins against the same guy.

It's kind of a laissez-faire approach to government, in a way, and I do see the need for some amount of social programs, but you cannot run a society on massive deficit spending and expect to succeed.
