I remember random shearn things for some reason. But, I noticed Umberto's climb because for a while, I was ahead of him by 6,000 posts. Then one day I looked up and it was 2,000. Now it's less than 1,000.

I also like discussion of sensitive subjects if the people are serious about hearing different views.

I remember one time I said I was up for tal of race. First post-- how come they can't make a movie called Black Men Can't Swim... I left the discussion.

I consider myself a centrist, personally. I have liberal positions on some issues. And I hold conservative positions on other issues. I suspect I'm like most people in this regard.

This one was at a Buffalo Wild Wings in Westchester. Much more low key. We had a table in a quiet arear. Much easier to converse.

I appreciate that John. I know you are a religious person, and that doesn't affect my view of you at all. I know you believe for all the right reasons and it is a positive thing in your life.

I think I set out my beliefs fairly well this afternoon. I seek understanding more than anything else. I seek further knowledge. What we do not know now about how this universe started, we can continue to look for and perhaps find. In a large sense, the organized religious sects of the world seek to quash this search or to demean it as a "theory" or incomplete, when it is far more of a comprehensive endeavor than any book written in the past.

I find the acceptance of a creator tantamount to the admittance that science can not ever find an answer to this question. We must continue to search for an answer from the evidence that we find. It is the only rational option.

And if god exists in some way beyond our ability to sense in any way, then the only way that I am wrong is that I do not believe in that for which there is no evidence in the universe. And I think god would understand where I'm coming from on that.
