True, but since I consider this board a fun pastime, I don't want to incite people to an extent that they feel the need to post anonymous tags about how much I infuriate them.

You've already answered your own conundrum. If you continue to maintain a respectful level in "sensitive" discussions, you shouldn't get angry tags directed at you. If you do despite maintaining civility, the tagger is the likely problem, not you.

I don't agree with everything you say (with regards to politics), SP. But you always defend your opinions in a thoughtful and rational manner. And that is to be commended.

Like I said, I never know how things are taken, but I think I maintain a decent amount of respect in how I operate.

That's just it though. You are respectful. You don't ask for someone's opinion and then in your next post go something like "Organized Religion is the root of all evil and whoever believes is like a sheep" "they're all morons/buffoons" etc. You may believe that, but you don't say it, that's very respectful. And you talk about other things/topics as well.
