hey d00ds (and ladyfriends)

I'm pumped!

I was negotiating a show for my band, but apparently my lame-ass guitarist can't make (RD!? where you at?), so instead of cancelling it - I asked my piano player if he'd want to try out a face to face show like Billy & Elton (I play bass in this band, but am very schooled on the piano)

He said yes, and we booked it. I've played tons & tons of shows on guitar & bass, but this will be my first playing mainly piano! I'm excited!

What should we play???

I was thinking "Feeling Alright" by Traffic would work well.

Also "Evil Woman" by ELO, good piano cover.

hell yeah! I'm fucking so excited. Over the last two years, I've really concentrated on piano and have, proudly, gotten pretty good at it.

My piano player wants me to play acoustic guitar on a couple of songs, but other than that, it's piano style!

Naturally, I'm gonna boot him off the stage and do an Elton John song solo. Trying to decide which.

My top choices thus far:

  • Border Song
  • Sixty Years On
  • Where to Now, St. Peter?
  • Take Me To The Pilot
  • Grey Seal
  • I've Seen That Movie Too
  • The One
  • The Greatest Discovery
haha, I can play EJ's whole catalog (basically...) Tough to narrow it down.

from Mushnicks column this morning..

Quote:
And this real deal ear/eyewitnesses report from Florida: New Mets manager Terry Collins didn’t know Francesa from Francis Lewis Boulevard before or after his first on-air chat with Francesa (during which time Francesa explained baseball to him).
So when Mets’ p.r. man Jay Horwitz told Collins that he’ll be doing a weekly spot on WFAN, Collins asked with whom. Told it would be with the same fellow, Francesa, he was just on with, Collins said, “Why don’t you just put me on a cross and throw darts at me?”

I wonder if the exceedingly dim hoi polloi is finally started to also catch on to how inane Dupp truly is.

well, I was always fascinated by piano. There was one in my parent's house, so I'd fuck with it on occasion.

In high school, I picked up the guitar like any standard angst-ridden teen, and really had a go at that. Now something like 14 years guitar experience. I can more or less play anything with enough rehearsal time.

I haven't given up on the guitar. Still love it, in fact, will be playing guitar today at a rehearsal.

THe piano is just so massively pimp. You can do so many things with it. I love it. I call myself a piano player now.

Morning all. I would bet that Collins was probably trying to make a joke, but of course Mushnick would not see it that way.

Girardi backed out of an interview with yesterday. Doggie was pissed. Girardi will only appear in a paid spot.

I remember about 4 or 5 years ago when Sheffield backed out of a free spot with Mike and Dog and they killed him and Dog said he doesnt like to air personal business but Sheffield will only do appearances if he gets paid, even if its for charity

I was shocked, SHOCKED he was on the bottom Was pretty cool how they cut his sawng and just kept him. It was also pretty awesome that he kept cursing under his breath and they had to keep bleeping/muting him.

Do all 11 go on tour now or will the next person axed still be out of the tour? That would be kinda crummy since they told all of them they were on the tour.

From watching that little wrestling skit, me thinks Pia and Paul have a little thing going on

I dont know if this was mentioned in teh dupp thread yesterday but Dog is starting to get a little loosey goosey with the language scenario. Yesterday, he said Jennifer Anniston isnt a pimple on Liz Taylor's ASS. With an emphasis on ASS. I think Stern is starting to rub off on our little Doggie
